Smiling Woman with silicone trainer. Invisible braces, how does invisalign work

Invisalign is a series of clear aligners that straighten teeth and are becoming a popular alternative to braces.

Invisalign braces:  If you’ve ever known someone who endured old-style metal braces, Invisalign — the invisible braces — are a big relief when you need to straighten your teeth for a better smile.  The series of flexible clear aligners that straighten your teeth on a customized treatment plan are easy to wear. You will hardly know your clear braces are in, and to friends, family and associates they are next to invisible.  With Invisalign, you do not have to worry about painful adjustments of braces, and the smooth surfaces of the aligners will not cut your cheeks or tongue like the sharp metal wires of traditional braces.

gas based sedation dentistry

Gas based sedation is an option, though most of our patients prefer a pill-based alternative.

Oral sedation is the most common sedation dentistry technique used in the United States. Because it is simple and painless, many people opt for this form of sedation. Although the patient maintains consciousness throughout the medical procedure when using oral sedation, the drug has such an effect on the brain that the patient feels a great reduction in fear and anxiety. Some people won’t remember much about the dental procedure while under the influence of oral sedation. A caregiver and driver will be required for anyone wanting to undergo oral sedation.  This is a great option for procedures such as wisdom tooth removal.  Talk with Dr. Eric about nitrous oxide sedation — another option at Padden Dental.

“I do root canal work as well as general dentistry and a full range of dental services including same day crowns.  Most common procedures can be done at our office. Those patients that like sedation during their visit often choose an easy pill option instead of IV or gas sedation. Come see us for your Dental Examination today!”
